Beekeeping Workshop 2012

May 26th 10-5pm & May 27th 10-2pm

Course fee $140.00/person

Call early to reserve your spot and arrive at 9am Saturday to register.

Introductory to Beekeeping

Topics of the program will include spring & summer hive maintenance, honey collection, spring & fall feeding, winter readiness. Some good discussions and maybe even some hands-on experiences depending the time of year.   All participants will recieve a copy of the Ontario Beekeeping Manual written by the Tech Transfer Team associated with the Ontario Beekeeper's Association and the University of Guelph (valued at $40.00).

Many other areas will be covered within the workshop, i.e., signs of swarming, Queen rearing, equipment maintenance and yard set up.

Workshop will be for two days. The workshop schedule begins Saturday at 9am for registrtation and 10 am to begin course until 5pm.   Sunday begins at 9/10am (to be decided by group) running until 2pm.  Refreshements will be provided but pack your lunch.
