March Break

Honey Camp

March 2012 

Tours at 10:30 & 1:30

  Join us for a tour of the spring operation - learn about what the bees and beekeepers are busy doing as the spring sun starts its work.  Of course taste some delicous honey comb, plus, go home with a set of candles you made yourself!

$10/ family fee will apply for each tour  (based on four people)

The Farm will be open 10-5pm daily all week so drop by when you are in the region to sample some of our uniquely northern honey and perserves!  Get your supply of candles, lipbalm and creams too! Don't forget some pollen or honey for those nasty allergies!!!!

We know you enjoyed yourselves. We had a whole bunch of visitors who have told us they had a bee-utiful time.

Beginner Beekeeping Course

May 26th & 27th

Saturday 10-5pm & Sunday 10-2pm, 2012

Learn all the basics to start your own hives.

Course fee $140.00 which includes a copy of the Ontario Beekeepers Association Manual.  Please call to book your spot

Summer Tours

Our tours were popular this summer. Lots of folks were amazed to learn what the honey bee does for our gardens, our markets, and for our well-beeeing.

Every Thursday during July & August at 1:30 pm join us for an authentic experience and tour the farm.  Learn about our beekeeping operation, production areas and honey shop.  Make a set of little candles to take home and taste some honey comb.  This is a great learning environment for the whole family.  There are many hands-on educational opportunities.

Tour fee: $5.00/person
